Worcester Raiders, who currently play at Sixways Stadium, the home of Worcester Warriors, have made a statement in support of Westfields Football Club.
It comes after the Hereford based side donated gate receipts to Worcester Raiders to support them due to the current situation surrounding Worcester Warriors and Raiders being unable to play fixtures at Sixways.
A spokesperson for Worcester Raiders said:
“Everyone at Worcester Raiders felt it was important that we shared the following statement, regarding our fixture with @Westfieldsfc1 on Saturday!
“It is without saying that, as a club, we’re in a very difficult situation as it stands with the closing of Sixways Stadium.
“Last Sunday, Westfields FC were kind enough to reverse our FA Vase tie. They have made the same generous decision, meaning our fixture can go ahead.
“Not only have Westfields allowed us to play away from home, they have also allowed us to take all of the match takings and the gate on Saturday.
“Their generosity extends far beyond football for us and their decision gives us a much better chance of survival.
“Elsewhere, we have had certain clubs agree for us to use their facilities in the near future, if we need to use them. We will provide updates on this soon.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has given us their best wishes! One big football family!”
