Mike’s family have spent the weekend in Hereford and watched the 0-0 draw with AFC Telford United.
Anita Carter (Mike’s widow), Paul Carter (Mike’s son) and his partner Joe Bell, Natalie Carter (Mike’s daughter)and her partner Sam Slater and Anita’s grandson Zach Slater were met by former Hereford United player Stewart Phillips who gave them a tour around Edgar Street.
Anita told us “Its been amazing to be back in Hereford and see the ground again, Mike loved his time here and enjoyed playing for the club, his one regret was he couldn’t convert that late chance against Arsenal during the FA Cup game in 1985. Everyone here has made us so welcome and its great seeing Stewart (Phillips) again”
