Hereford FC have announced this morning that club historian Ron Parrott has passed away.
A statement on the Bulls Facebook page reads
“We are deeply saddened to have heard this morning that Hereford FC and Hereford United Club Historian, Ron Parrott, a true club legend, has passed away.
Ron’s love for Edgar Street was immense and his passion for both clubs was obvious to everyone.
Fitting tributes will be planned in the coming days and our thoughts are with Ron’s family and many friends at this very sad time”
Match announcer Matt Healey tweeted
“RIP Ron Parrott, a good friend and somebody who was an absolute reference point for anything Hereford United/FC. He was such a lovely man, and visiting his house a few times the amount of Hereford United history he had about the club was incredible”
