From Hereford FC:

CALLING ALL CURRENT AND POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS!

If you’re a current volunteer, have previously volunteered for us and are looking to return to volunteering at Edgar Street, or wanting to find out about volunteering with us for the first time, we’re pleased to invite you all to a complimentary BBQ and drinks afternoon on Saturday 10th July.

We’re looking forward to welcoming fans back to Edgar Street for the 2021/22 season, but we can’t do that without our fantastic volunteers. For the coming season, we’re looking forward to welcoming back familiar volunteers, and also very keen to welcome new volunteers on board!

The afternoon will give current and potential volunteers the chance to chat with fellow volunteers, board members and club staff about volunteering for Hereford FC.

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer or are a current volunteer wishing to continue for the new season, please complete this form.

Some of the positions we have available are;

Bar & Events Volunteers
Having taken the bars in-house for the new season, we’re looking to recruit a number of volunteers to help support our bars on matchdays as well as other events. Tasks will involve serving fans and playing an important role in our matchday hospitality.

Having the support of volunteer bar staff will be a big role in helping to make our bars a big success this season!

Potential hours: 2-3 hours on a matchday

Scoreboard Operator(s)
We’re looking for someone to help keep our matchday scoreboard up to date throughout the game, ensuring that goals and match stats are recorded, as well as making sure that commercial messages are displayed inline with relevant agreements.

The scoreboard is updated via a mobile app, so knowledge and experience of using mobile devices and apps is preferred, but training and support will be provided.

Potential hours: 3.5 hours on a matchday

Matchday Fan Engagement Volunteers
We’re looking for a number of volunteers to help meet and greet fans on matchdays, answering questions and helping direct supporters to the correct locations.

Our Fan Engagement Volunteers will play an important role in helping to make sure that fans have the best experience possible when visiting Edgar Street.

Potential hours: 1.5 hours pre-match

Turnstile Operators
Our turnstile operators play an important role in helping to ensure everyone who visits Edgar Street enters the stadium safely and without delay.

We need to open at least ten turnstiles on a matchday, and are always looking for more volunteers to join our ‘bank’ of operators to help ensure we have sufficient turnstiles open each game.

Potential hours: 1.5 hours pre-match

Programme Sellers
We’re pleased to offer our matchday programme in both printed and digital versions, and we’re always looking for volunteers to help sell programmes on matchday.

Potential hours: 1.5 hours pre-match

Volunteer Programme Editor and Volunteer Programme Designer

Potential hours: 4-5 hours per home game for each role. Can be remote, or based at Edgar Street.
