According to the Cumberland News and Star Former Hereford United striker Ryan Bowman has been given a 42 month ban for football.

Bowman was signed by Hereford United in July 2012 after leaving Darlington, and scored 19 goals in 43 appearances during the 2012/2013 National League Season. This famously included a double in a FA Cup 1st round tie against Shrewsbury Town where the Bulls were 3-1 victors.

He then rejected a new contract and signed for League Two side York City for a tribunal set £20,000. He later played for Motherwell, Torquay United, Exeter City, Shrewsbury Town and Cheltenham Town.
