Niblett made 244 appearances for Hereford United from 1956-1962 and was part of the team that won the Southern League cup in 1959. He later played for Barry Town.
Niblett was also part of the team that faced Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup 3rd round on the 4th January 1958. A crowd of 18,144 packed into Edgar Street to watch the Southern League side face the then 1st Division giants. Hereford were defeated 3-0, but the game remains the biggest crowd that Edgar Street has held.
