A planning application has been submitted to Herefordshire Council, for a new addition to the MandM Edgar Street Stadium.

The planning application states:

‘Proposed installation of illuminated signage.’

‘This Planning Statement has been prepared by The Town Planning Practice (the ‘Agent’) on behalf of Hereford Football Club (the ‘Applicant) for submission of a planning application to Herefordshire Council (the ‘Council’) for the installation of illuminated signage located on the club stadium.’

‘The signage will be situated on Len Weston Stand that is situated on the Edgar Street.’

‘Hereford FC is more than just a football club, it is a cornerstone of the local community.

‘Since its formation in 2014, following the liquidation of Hereford United, the club has been owned and run with the support and passion of its fans. It serves as a powerful symbol of community resilience, pride, and identity.

‘The club plays a vital role in promoting social inclusion, health and wellbeing, and youth engagement.

‘Through its outreach programs, partnerships with local schools and charities, and matchday experiences, Hereford FC brings people together from all backgrounds.

‘Edgar Street, the club’s historic home ground, is not only a sporting venue but a gathering place that strengthens community ties and fosters a sense of belonging.

‘To sustain its operations, invest in facilities, and continue delivering community initiatives, Hereford FC must secure diverse and reliable sources of income.

‘As a semi-professional club in the National League System, matchday revenues alone are insufficient to support the broad ambitions of the club and the expectations of supporters.

‘Improved signage, particularly that which enhances visibility and offers advertising opportunities, will help generate essential commercial income for the club. It will also support partnerships with local businesses,’
