Archie has just turned 8 years old and is from Ledbury. He joined the first All Electric Karting Championship which is run by top Formula 1 Engineer Rob Smedley in October 2020.
In Archie’s first bambino season he was crowned vice champion with just 7 points between him and first place. He then went onto his 2nd season where he was once again crowned vice champion and missed finishing in first place by just one point.
This year was his 3rd season and his final season as a bambino. It turned out to be a successful one for Archie who was finally crowned Champion!
Archie also won the MotorsportUK Race & Respect award which was voted for by fellow drivers and families. This was the second time he had won this award, after being awarded it in the previous season.
Archie has also made two guest appearances at the British Karting Championships showcasing the Total Karting Zero Electric Karts where both times he took 1st place. He took the title of the first ever Eectric kart bambino to race and win at the biggest Karting competition in the UK. He also gained the first ever E (Electric) Plate to be handed out.
Archie has now ended a very successful bambino journey and will now take the next step to Cadets and will be racing faster karts. Archie hopes to one day become a professional racing driver. You can follow Archie’s journey through Facebook and Instagram.
