Westfields Football Club will have been both disappointed and upbeat following a 0-0 draw away at table toppers Bishops Cleeve on Monday evening.
Bishops Cleeve are runaway leaders in the Hellenic Premier Division but failed to adapt to the extremely wet conditions and a strong Westfields defence limited them to a small number of chances.
Westfields best chances came from Jamie Bird who hit the post and Josh Hunt who’s header went narrowly wide.
The result leaves Westfields in 8th place in the league, with promotion now looking rather unlikely.
Phil Glover’s side will be back in action on Saturday 5th March when they host high flying Westbury United at Allpay Park in what promises to be a fantastic encounter.
