Westfields Football Club are building momentum this pre season and continued that with a 4-2 victory away at Cwmbran Celtic on Tuesday evening.

Westfields did find themselves 1-0 down early on, but quickly levelled things up thanks to a goal from new signing Oli Barnes.

Oli Barnes then played in midfielder Harry Pitman, who calmly slotted home to give fields a 2-1 lead.

Young defender Cameron Davies extended Westfields lead, meeting a delightful ball in from Adam Newbury to make it 3-1 to the visitors.

Fields then made it 4-1 early in the second half, with Sean Powell feeding Teddy Mee who’s calm shot beat the advancing keeper.

Cwmbran then clawed a goal back to make it 4-2, but overall, manager Phil Glover is likely to be happy with the result and effort put in by the side, particularly on a goalscoring front.

Westfields next pre season friendly is on Saturday 8th July, when they travel to Trefelin FC for a 1pm kick off.
