Westfields FC were knocked out of the FA Cup in a fiery encounter at Allpay Park yesterday evening. Fields had taken the lead thanks to a fabulous strike from Joel Edwards, but visitors Worksop Town worked hard and found themselves 3-1 up at the break.

Fields worked hard during the second half but couldn’t get back into the game. Emmanuel Bam was sent off for fields and the Worksop Town captain also saw red. The Westfields social media team were far from impressed with the performance from the visitors. A brilliant attendance of 240 watched the game and certainly got their moneys worth.

Elsewhere in the Hellenic League Division One West, Hereford Lads Club continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 1-0 home victory against Tytherington Rocks. A brilliant header from Jamie Cuthbertson secured the win after a fantastic ball in from Adam Newbury. The visitors keeper was in fine form to keep the score line down. Lads Club are now top of the table with a trip to Malvern Town next up on Saturday.

Hereford Pegasus were beaten 1-0 at Newent Town thanks to a goal from Jordan Cooper. Pegasus dropped to 13th following the defeat.
