Wellington Football Club and Radnor Valley FC continued their preparations for the upcoming season last night as they met last night for a pre-season friendly at the Kensal Ground.

The hosts opened the scoring when a 10th minute corner was taken quickly and Freddie Fox’s subsequent cross from out near the left touchline flew over everyone in the penalty area and inside the far post.

Wellington doubled their lead via Sam Pearson’s 21st minute penalty before pulling further ahead 12 minutes later after breaking quickly down the left flank and the subsequent cross was volleyed home at the far post by Sam Griffiths.

Radnor Valley had created their fair share of goal scoring opportunities but were unable to find a way past the well-organised home defence.

The scoring was completed with four minutes remaining on the clock as Wellington added a fourth goal courtesy of Caden Allport to complete the scoring.

Wellington have also confirmed that a number of players have been retained ahead of their season in the Hellenic League Division One.

Those staying at Wellington include, Freddie Fox, Luke Griffiths, Harley Morris and Henry Hancocks.
