Tributes have been pouring in this evening, for former Westfields Football Club chairman Chris Williams, who has sadly passed away.
Chris had dedicated many years to Westfields and the club paid tribute to him by saying:
“Westfields FC are gutted and heartbroken to bring you the sad news of the passing of former Chairman, Director and friend Chris Williams earlier today.
“A massive part of our club who brought so much joy, laughter, dedication and a professionalism in everything he did for our club.
“Our thoughts are very much with his wife Daphne and all his wonderful family and friends on this very sad day.
“A legend of our club who will be sorely missed.”
Former players and supporters have also paid tribute to Chris.
Former player Harrison Iddles said:
“Sorry to hear this, Chris was a top man, thoughts go out to his family.”
Hereford FC chairman Chris Ammonds said:
“Really sorry to hear this news. My thoughts are with Chris’s family, friends and everyone at the club.”
Former player Joe Davies said:
“RIP Chris – Absolute legend and always had time for everyone.”
