This was the reverse fixture at the KGD Stadium, after Pegasus won a ten goal thriller at Longlevens three weeks ago.

This was a different encounter, the hosts scored twice inside a quarter of an hour. The visitors proving stiff opposition and, a good account of themselves, hitting the crossbar not once but twice, producing a performance that does not reflect their lowly league position.

Pegasus gave a debut to former Malvern Town goalkeeper James Loader, who will be pleased with his performance.

Pegasus made a flying start, in the 4th minute Jordan Williamson received the ball on the touch line, he surged forward past his marker before driving the ball from 25 yards high into the net past a despairing Dan Troke in goal.

Ten minutes later, Williamson was again in the thick of action as he turned provider. His shot from a similar position forced Troke into a good save but, the Longlevens gloveman could only push the ball into the path of Cawley Cox, he did not make a mistake as he rolled the ball into the gaping net, his 10th goal of the season

In the 24th minute, Cox seized upon a back pass before playing the ball back to Luke Griffiths, his goal bound shot was tipped over the bar by Troke.

With five minutes of the half remaining, Longlevens should have reduced the deficit. A cross from the right was headed against the crossbar by Cam Williams.

On the hour mark, a corner kick by Williamson brought another save at expense of another corner kick by Troke. This led to a powerful drive from Curtis Townley saved by the keeper again.

Shortly afterwards, Mike Burgess was dismissed after receiving his second caution.

Down to ten men, Pegasus had to defend with their backs against the wall. Within the final ten minutes the visitors had two goal scoring opportunities. One hit the crossbar and the other flashed inches wide of the upright.

The final quarter of the game was not pretty but, the hosts were able to grind out the result with a clean sheet and, secure three points to keep them in fourth place in the table.

The man of the match chosen by match sponsors KGD Industrial Services was Jordan Williamson.
