Hereford Lads Club and Westfields will both be looking to return to winning ways today, with both sides losing midweek fixtures in the Hellenic Premier Division.

Westfields lost 1-0 at home to Tuffley Rovers in a frustrating match at Allpay Park. The visitors put in a superb defensive performance that frustrated fields, before counter attacking late on to snatch a winner. 7th placed Westfields travel to 6th placed Corsham Town today, with a victory for fields enough to take them above their hosts.

Hereford Lads Club will be looking forward to today’s home fixture against Thornbury Town. Lads Club were on a decent run of league form with five wins on the bounce prior to Wednesday nights defeat away at Longlevens, but manager Danny Moon will be keen for his side to put that defeat to one side and to return to winning ways today. A victory for Lads Club could take them as high as 10th.

Lads Club’s new signing Henry Dyed spoke to Your Herefordshire earlier this week and here’s what he had to say:

YH: What are your thoughts on signing for Lads Club?

Henry: I’m very excited to have signed for Lads Club. A club which is on the up with great facilities and a great passion for the game. Lads Club are showing their ambitions on and off the pitch. I can’t wait to meet everyone at the club and get started.

YH: What is your favourite position?

Henry: My favourite position is playing as an attacking left back. My priority is to defend, but when the chance opens up, I look to get forward and join in with the attack.

YH: Lads Club are in good league form. How do you think you can add to the team?

Henry: As a team just promoted into the Hellenic Prem, they are showing that they belong there. As well as being a solid defender, my attacking mind will help move the ball quickly up to the front men.

YH: Manager Danny Moon has been chasing you for some time. What finally made you decide to sign?

Henry: It was a great feeling to know that Danny wanted me at Lads Club. I went to watch Lads Club play and had a good chat with Danny after the game. He told me about his plans and ambitions for the future and I want to be part of that.

YH: What are your hopes for the rest of the season?

Henry: My hopes for the rest of the season is to win games and keep clean sheets. I will put in 100% every time I’m given a chance to play and show my team mates, the management and the fans what I can do.
