A spirited Kington Town performance saw them go down 3-0 at home to higher graded opponents Newent Town in a behind closed doors friendly at the Mill Street Ground.
Kington held their opposition until two minutes before half time when Newent scored from a penalty.
Two goals from the visitors sealed the win in the second half. It was Kington’s first friendly of the season and the third for the visitors. The game was played behind closed doors due to COVID-19 restrictions.
