It was great to see a full list of fixtures played once again after the disruption caused in recent weeks by the flooding and frosty weather.

The Herefordshire Football League Premier Division saw 7 fixtures played out in competitive circumstances where results could have gone either way.

There were two draws which saw title challenging Ludlow Town Colts and Sporting Club Inkberrow drop points in their respective matches against Welland and Clee Hill United, allowing Hereford Pegasus Reserves to gain a slight advantage on those teams around them as they overcame Westfields Development 3-2 in the local derby. Saul Thomas, Carlos Moreira and Curtis Discroll getting the goals to help the home side collect 3 points.

Its Ledbury Town however, who remain top of the table after a walkover win against Coppertops FC when the away side were unable to field a team.

Elsewhere all other fixtures proved close with only a goal or two separating the sides.

It was Holme Lacy who came out on top with the bragging rights in another derby against near neighbours Fownhope, while Tenbury United continued their good form of 2023 with an impressive 2-1 victory with Matt Kerby scoring the two all important goals denting the promotion challenge of their opponents Kington Town.
