Hereford Lads Club and Hereford Pegasus could both be promoted if plans to restructure Non-League football get the go ahead.
More than 100 teams from Non League’s step five to step seven will get the opportunity to apply for promotion, with Hereford Lads Club and Hereford Pegasus likely to end up in the same division as Westfields FC if the plans are given the green light.
Both Hereford Pegasus and Hereford Lads Club currently play in the Hellenic League Division One West and have both pushed for promotion in recent seasons. Thornbury Town and Malvern Town are likely to be the two sides that join them in gaining promotion from the Hellenic League Division One West.
One local side that could end up disappointed would be Westfields. Westfields were unbeaten in the 2019/20 season before it was curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and were all set for promotion, however it appears that they will miss out on promotion if this plan goes ahead. This would be a major disappointment for Phil Glover’s side.
