Hereford FC were dealt another frustrating blow in a 2-1 defeat against Darlington at Edgar Street.

The Bulls went ahead through Jack Evans, before the visitors hit twice to secure victory. 

A Hereford supporter was ejected from the stadium after reports that homophobic comments were aimed at a Darlington player during the match.

A spokesperson for Hereford FC responded to the incident by saying:

“Hereford FC can confirm that an allegation of a supporter making homophobic comments towards a Darlington player during today’s game has been received.

“We have immediately launched a full investigation and will work alongside West Mercia Police and Darlington FC to establish what happened, and we are therefore appealing for witnesses to come forward with information of today’s incident.

“If you were witness, please email Hereford FC General Manager, Jamie Griffiths jgriffiths@herefordfc.co.uk with details. Information received will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.

“Hereford FC will not tolerate any form of homophobic abuse and anyone found guilty of using such language will be banned from Edgar Street.”

Westfields were beaten 5-0 away at Corsham. Ben Vine saw red for Fields.

Hereford Lads Club battled well to earn an impressive victory against a very well drilled Royal Wootton Bassett side. Goals from James Hancocks, Brandon Jennings and Adam Hockey secured the win for Lads Club.

Hereford Pegasus snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in seven goal thriller against an impressive Shrivenham team. 

The Wiltshire side were never behind until the match winning goal in stoppage time. 

The points gained by the promoted team keeps them in fourth place of the uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division. The visitors gained a goal advantage on three occasions but, were never able to hold onto the lead for more than five minutes.

There was little to separate the sides until the thirty fifth minute, as each team were searching openings. The visitors scored from the angle of the area with a drive from Zac Skinner.

Four minutes later, a corner kick by Jordan Williamson found captain Jamie Price, his strike from twenty yards nestled in the net off the base of the upright, beating the despairing dive of Sam Ayers.

Nine minutes after the break Shrivenham regained the lead as the dangerous Zac Skinner scored his second goal of the afternoon. 

Barely two minutes had elapsed when Connor Davies-Austin crossed the ball into the penalty area from the left, Richard Greaves in space directed his header into the far corner of the goal.

In the seventy fifth minute Pegasus had an opportunity take the lead for the first time in the match. Carlos Moreira gained a penalty kick after he was felled in the box. He crashed the ball against the crossbar from twelve yards.

Four minutes later Shrivenham were ahead again through Callum Parsons from close range.

Two minutes from full time, with the match seemingly lost, the hosts levelled the scores, a through ball from Williamson beyond the visitors defence was chased by debutant Harrison Summers, he shrugged off his marker to fire home from a tight angle.

The hosts showed their ambition and, determination to remain near the top of the league with the signing of Summers on loan from Hereford. The loanee went straight into the starting eleven.

In the third minute of stoppage time Pegasus were awarded a free kick on the edge of the penalty area. The strike from Jamie Price took a slight deflection and found the back of the net.

The man of the match chosen by match sponsors CleanMy was Harrison Summers. It was his first game since signing on loan from Hereford FC.
