Hereford FC found themselves well beaten by Banbury United this afternoon, with the hosts putting in a fantastic performance to earn a 3-1 win.

In truth, it should be the defeat and how the Bulls plan to bounce back when they host Gloucester City at Edgar Street on Monday that supporters are talking about, but sadly, incidents off the field have left the travelling Bulls support with a sour taste this evening.

One Hereford supporter was visibly hurt when an object hit him on the head, with the man having to receive medical attention. Other supporters reported being hit by stones and having bottles and drinks thrown at them. A number of incidents were also reported at the train station following the game.

One Hereford supporter shared the following message on Twitter:

“We have an old man in hospital thanks to your fans chucking cones and bins at us. Well done Banbury, showed the real **** you are.”

Another supporter added:

“Very poor from Banbury and police. Keep home fans in for 10 mins and get the dogs out of the vans to control the rock chucking knuckle draggers.”
