Harrison Summers has agreed to rejoin Westfields Football Club, just weeks after he was released by Hereford FC.

Summers joined Hereford FC last summer, but found opportunities very limited and spent a couple of loan spells at local clubs, including Hereford Pegasus.

The signing of Summers provides an early boost to Westfields ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Westfields Manager Phil Glover said:

“Really positive news for both our club and Harrison that we have got this done nice and early.

“Harry was outstanding for us before moving to Hereford and last year would of been frustrating for him as I know how much he loves playing football.

“The challenge for Harry now is to settle back in to the group, which I have no doubt he will do, knuckle down, battle to get his shirt back and show us and the rest of the county just how good a player he really is.

“We have shown over the last couple of seasons that the pathway at our club is unrivalled locally, if you are good enough you are old enough!”

It’s understood that other clubs were interested in securing the signature of Summers, but he has chosen to link back up with his former manager and teammates.

Fields have been planning for the forthcoming season and have announced a number of pre season friendlies, including matches against Cwmbran Celtic, Alvechurch, Hereford Pegasus and Hereford FC.
