Josh Gowling has agreed terms with former Swindon Town, Inverness Caldedonian Thistle, Partick Thistle and Aberdeen player Miles Storey.

“I’ve had some good conversations with Miles over the past couple of weeks, and I’m just delighted to get things done.” Gowling said.

“He’s a number nine, but he can also play in wide areas, he can play left and right, and something we probably lacked last season was a bit of pace and he’s bringing that.”

“He brings bags of experience, he knows Tom Owen-Evans, Luke Haines and Yan Klukowski, so he’s coming into a squad with players he already knows.

“He’s played for some big clubs, he’s a big game player and has played in front of some big crowds, he’s going to come here and deal with the pressure of this place, and the pressure I’m going to put on him to perform, and I know he’ll do that.

“He’s physical, he’s a big boy and strong, but he’s got a lot of pace. I’ve got some friends up in Scotland who have said he’s the quickest player they’ve ever seen!”

Speaking after agreeing his deal, Storey said: “I’ve enjoyed my time up in Scotland it was a good challenge and I enjoyed my time up there playing in the Scottish Premiership and Championship. I’ve been looking to try and get back to England and get back closer to home.

“I’ve played for a couple of big clubs, and this place has got that big club feel. Josh really sold the place to me, it’s a project and he wants to get the club back to where it was. I really liked the ambition about the place, and I’ve spoken to a couple of lads here who I know, and they’ve said how good it is.

“The manager’s desire to get me in was a big thing for me as well. Josh spoke to me a couple of times and he was trying to get me here, I felt wanted and it felt good, it just feels like the right thing to do.”

Miles joins the following players in having agreed deals for the new season.
