Hereford Lads Club made it two wins from two last night, with a well deserved 2-1 victory away at Brimscombe and Thrupp.

It was a nervous start by Lads Club, with the home side having much the better of the first 20 minutes, before eventually taking the lead with a close range finish.

However, this seemed to wake Lads Club up, with Cameron Peters causing problems for the Brimscombe & Thrupp defence and playmakers such as Adam Hockey, Adam Newbury and Olly Price beginning to cause the home side problems.

It wasn’t until the second half though that Lads Club’s dominance really showed. A ball across the area found its way to Adam Hockey, who’s superb cross was headed in by Jamie Cuthbertson to put the visitors deservedly level. Manager Danny Moon believed his side could then go on and win the match and it wasn’t long before Lads Club found themselves ahead. A neat finish inside the box from Tom Dawson saw Lads Club ahead in the game and despite the home side sending plenty of long balls into the box late on, Lads Club held out for the three points which saw them lift themselves up to 15th in the Hellenic Premier Division table. Following a run of away fixtures, Lads Club now have two upcoming home matches with Tuffley Rovers visiting The County Ground on Saturday, before Hallen visit on Tuesday.
