The Westfields Women’s team under the management of Craig Stanton did well and the new season looks promising. The awards were presented to Player of the Year Katie Young, Young Player of the Year Zoe Young, Players Player of the Year Kirsty Dodd-Cox and Most Improved Player Alice Bonham-Carter.
Westfields Chief Executive Andy Morris said:
“We are approaching our 60th year in 2026 and it’s amazing what has been achieved in this time as a club.
“The club started as a group of lads from the Westfields area of the city playing on a Sunday morning on Widemarsh Common. The group had been in awe of England winning the World Cup that summer.
“The future of the club is strong – we have a sound junior and youth section and the committee are keen with new ideas and a new management in place to move forward to the new season. Please give everyone our support especially our sponsors who once again have been superb.”
