It has been confirmed that Merthyr Town will enter the National League North following their promotion from the Southern League.
The confirmation that Merthyr Town will find themselves in the National League North is likely to be seen as a positive by Hereford FC, with another local fixture added to the calendar and a bumper crowd likely for both matches.
The Bulls last played Merthyr Town on Boxing Day in 2017 when over 1,000 Hereford supporters travelled to Merthyr for a 0-0 draw.
Many Hereford supporters will also know Cawley Cox, the former Westfields FC and Hereford Pegasus striker that currently plays for Merthyr Town.
From Bulls News:
Confirmation this morning that Merthyr Town will be in the National North League next season has come from the FA.
Also joining is Bedford Town.
Still to be confirmed one of Scunthorpe or Chester – who play each other in the National North play-off final.
