It was a good night for many of our local sides that were in pre season action with Westfields, Wellington, Hereford Lads Club and Kington Town recording victories.
Westfields got off to a flyer with a Richard Greaves goal early on. Stourport started the second half in style by scoring straight from the kick off. Keanu Cooper restored Westfields lead with a fantastic finish, before fields added a third. A trialist added a fourth goal for fields close to the final whistle.
Wellington FC recorded a 3-1 victory over Shawbury United, thanks to goals from Brendan Hackett and a Sam Pearson brace.
Hereford Lads Club run out 4-3 winners in a feisty encounter at the County Ground against higher graded opposition in Tuffley Rovers. A brace from Tom Bendall and goals from Olly Price and Jamie Cuthbertson secured the win.
Kington Town beat Shobdon 5-1 in a pre season friendly at the Mill Street Ground in Kington. Goals from Kington’s Jack Gittoes (x2), Tom Crichton, Charlie Beaumont and Brian Dyer sealed the victory while Will Bowen scored for Shobdon.
