On Monday evening, we popped along to a Dirty Feet session at The Core in Hereford!
We met a wonderful group of young people, who are a credit to the club.
One of the team that we met was Jet (known as bboy Jet-Zai). Jet is currently at the top of the UK under 15s breakdance league, with another win recently in Newcastle. Jet is only 14 and won the league last year.
Jet told us about his passion for breakdancing and how he dreams of going to the olympics!
Another member of the club that we met was Stan (known as bboy McLane).
At only 18, Stan just came runner up in the UK qualifier for RedBull BCOne, which if he won he would have been flown to New York to represent the UK against all of the other winners from around the world.
Stan told us that he is very competitive and always wants to win but is enjoying the journey that he is on.
We also met Alex (known as Dino).
Alex is a free runner that is now working as a stunt man for film sets aswell as setting up his parkour crew “Lost Spirits”. Many of our readers would have seen Aled flipping all over Hereford over the last few years.
Alex, like all the other we met had only positive words to say about their trainer Didge (Daniel Ovel), who they all say helps to push them to the next level. Didge is described as supportive and offers a group of talented young people, a place to showcase their wonderful talents.
All of these guys have trained with Dirty Feet in Hereford for years and are now really making some noise nationally and even internationally. They are putting Hereford’s name out there in a positive light and deserve credit for what they are doing.
The older members of the team are proud to support the new and younger members. They help them grow confidence and make Dirty Feet a welcoming place to showcase your skills.
