Herefordshire CCC were defeated in the NCCA Trophy XI by Oxfordshire CCC at Banbury yesterday.
Zain Ul Hussain put in a good batting performance for Herefordshire with a score of 59 runs from 79 balls. Mahaaz Ahmed also put in a spirited performance, scoring 51 runs from 103 balls before being bowled out by George Tait.
Herefordshire reached 214/8 after their 50 overs. Oxfordshire were then set a revised target to reach due to the wet weather and batsman Harrison Ward reached an impressive 59 runs from just 55 balls to drive Oxfordshire to a six wicket victory.
