Football is about much more than what happens on the pitch nowadays and despite a difficult couple of years with COVID-19 and other challenges, Hereford FC and manager Josh Gowling have worked hard to keep up their reputation as a community club.

Manager Josh Gowling visited Kingstone Primary School in Herefordshire to donate some tablets to the school, thanks to a community partnership with Stephen Brown Consultancy.

Stephen Brown became a big Hereford fan thanks to his wife, who started taking him along to Edgar Street.

Sadly, Stephen’s wife passed away earlier this year, but his relationship with The Bulls continues. During the lockdown Stephen started to raise funds through his Stephen Brown Consultancy business, with the intention of providing children with laptops and tablets to help support their learning at school and at home. His fundraising so far has exceeded £62,000 and has seen many thousands of children benefit from electronic devices.

Josh Gowling added, “The work that the football club are doing in the community can be seen when you walk into the school by the engagement form all the students. The tablets initiative is something that the football club are honoured to be involved with and the work that Stephen Brown has done is amazing giving young people the opportunity to further their education.”
