Hereford FC were comfortably beaten 2-0 by Football League side Newport County at Edgar Street this afternoon in the Bulls first home pre season friendly.

The visitors, cheered on by an impressive following of just under 500 for a pre season friendly, took the lead on 40 minutes after Semenyo converted a penalty.

The Bulls looked brighter in the second half and had chances but  it was a frustrating afternoon in front of goal with the Bulls failing to create many clear cut chances.

The loss of Symons due to injury will also be a concern after the striker hobbled off shortly after coming on in the second half.

County doubled their lead in stoppage time after a defensive mix up left Amond with an open net to slot the ball into to secure  a 2-0 victory.

The Bulls face Forest Green at Edgar Street on Wednesday evening.
