Worcester Warriors have confirmed that they will be returning in 2025/26, with a team playing in Tier 2 of professional rugby and playing its home matches from Sixways Stadium.
In a post on social media, Worcester Warriors said:
“It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for… Worcester Warriors are officially returning.
“This is more than a comeback; it’s the start of a new era.
“More than two years after entering administration, Worcester Warriors are pleased to confirm that following a rigorous process, they have been selected by the Tier 2 Board to join the new professional Tier 2 league and will compete in the 2025/2026 season at Sixways Stadium in Worcester.
“A huge thank you to our loyal fans for your patience and unwavering support, as your belief has kept the Warrior spirit alive.
“We also want to recognise the incredible efforts of the Sixways and Warriors team; your hard work and dedication have made this possible, strengthening Sixways Stadium as a premier venue for sport, events, and the Worcestershire community.
