The Met Office has issued a thunderstorm warning for parts of Herefordshire on Friday, with torrential downpours possible.

It comes as temperatures rise to the mid twenties, with sunshine expected before showers and heavy downpours spread in.

The Met Office warning for Herefordshire on Friday says:

“A line of thunderstorms are expected to develop during Friday morning and move gradually northeast before weakening into the afternoon.

“Whilst most places will only see a short period of heavy rain, a few places may see 30-40 mm of rain in less than 2 hours.
