The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Wales on Saturday, with further heavy rain likely to cause levels on the River Wye in Herefordshire to rise further.

Met Office Warning:

“A band of heavy rain will reach west Cornwall and west Wales later on Friday evening, moving eastwards overnight, clearing during Saturday morning. 10 to 20 mm of rain is likely to fall quite widely with 30-35 mm in a few places. With this rain falling in only a few hours, and following earlier heavy rain leaving ground already saturated, some flooding is likely in places. The rain is also likely to be accompanied by strong and gusty southerly winds.”
