Fire crews have spent the night continuing to battle a fire involving a loader and approximately 100 large straw bales overnight near Orleton.
Crews from Leintwardine, Kington, Leominster and Kington were called to the fire at 5.04pm yesterday afternoon which had spread to 100+ round bales. Crews worked through the night to reduce the spread of fire to surrounding bales. 4 hose reel jets, breathing apparatus and a bit of help from the farmer, and they all managed to move affected bales to a near open field. Crews will continue to stay at the incident to monitor and dampen down hotspots.
