The UK has recorded its coldest night in over a decade, with a minimum temperature of -21.9c recorded at Braemar in Aberdeenshire in Scotland.

It makes it the coldest night since 9th January 2010 and the coldest February night since 1986.

It was less cold closer to home with very little snow cover. In Herefordshire, temperatures fell to -5c at Credenhill and a low of -4c was recorded at Shobdon.
