The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) has confirmed the salary of a Member of Parliament will rise by 2.8% for the next financial year.

The 2.8% uplift means an MP’s salary for 2025-26 will be £93,904.

The decision follows a consultation with MPs and other stakeholders, and is in line with government pay recommendations for public sector workers.

IPSA will hold a further consultation on the determination of MPs’ pay for the rest of the current parliamentary term in the coming months.
