Eurotunnel has this evening announced that following a decision from the French Government, British citizens are now considered 3rd country citizens and can no longer transit France by road to reach their country of residence in the European Union.
A statement on the Eurotunnel website says:
“Both the UK and French governments have introduced additional entry requirements and restrictions due to COVID-19. Please remember, it is your responsibility to ensure you check and comply with the latest health and travel regulations. Anyone not meeting travel regulations or failing to produce the required documentation for their journey will not be permitted to travel.”
