The Met Office has issued a Weather Warning for Herefordshire.
Thunderstorms are expected to develop throughout Friday with slow moving downpours leading to over an inch of rain falling in less than an hour in some parts.
Localised flooding is possible in places with the ground being so dry so excess surface water is likely for a short period.
However, some parts will stay dry and the weekend looks much better with sunny spells and highs reaching 27c.
