Motorists are being warned to expect delays and to plan ahead with a full road closure in place on a busy route in Herefordshire this week.

From Herefordshire Highways:

“We need to inform you about roadworks on B4361 From Little Folly to Angora Wood Farm, Orleton.

“We will be conducting anti-skid resurfacing works on the Junction.

“Works will take place under a road closure from Monday 4 August to (and including)

Monday 11 August 2025. Road closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day.

“1st Diversion route will be via B4362 Wooferton/ A49 Leominster/ A44 Mill Street and B4361 Luston and vice versa follow blue route diversion on map.

“2nd Diversion route will be via B4361 Luston/ A44 Leominster/ B4529 Cobnash/ B4360 Kingsland/ A4110 Mortimer’s Cross/ B4362 Lucton and vice versa for green route diversion on map. 

“Both routes will be full signposted.

“We will make every effort to provide vehicular access to properties within the road closure, but there may be times when it is not possible or there are delays. 

“We have dedicated marshals on site to help.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. 

“At Balfour Beatty we work in partnership with Herefordshire Council to minimise the impact of our work and aim to keep disruptions to a minimum – we appreciate your patience.

“The work schedule may change due to circumstances, like as severe weather. 

“Changes may occur at short notice without further notification. 

“All changes will show on advance warning signs at the roadworks site.
