Emergency services are responding to a collision on the A4103 Hereford to Worcester Road this morning. 

The incident has occurred between Fromes Hill and Cradley. 

West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene. 

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route as the road is currently blocked.

Flood Alert – River Wye in Herefordshire.

River levels have risen at the Hay-On-Wye river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible today, 27/01/25. 

We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads along the River Wye from Hay on Wye to Ross on Wye. 

Other locations that may be affected include the A438, Byford, Bredwardine and Hereford. Predicted peaks:- Hay on Wye 1.9m to 2.1m this morning, Bredwardine 3.5m to 3.8m Monday morning, Belmont 3.6m to 3.9m Monday afternoon, Old Wye Bridge 3.2m to 3.4m Monday afternoon, Mordiford 3.7m to 4.0m Monday evening, Ross on Wye 3.5m to 3.8m tuesday morning. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point.

Further rainfall is forecast over the next hours. We expect river levels to remain high in the coming days.

River Lugg south of Leominster.

River levels are rising at the Lugwardine river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue today, 27/01/25. 

We expect flooding to affect Low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Lugg south of Leominster from Stoke Prior to Mordiford. Other locations that may be affected include Bodenham, Lugwardine and Hampton Bishop. 

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. 

We expect river levels to remain high in the coming days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with Local Authorities.

River Lugg north of Leominster.

River levels are rising at the Butts Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible today, 27/01/25. 

We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads to the River Lugg north of Leominster. Locations that may be affected include Yarpole, Mortimers Cross, Kingsland and the B4362. 

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. We expect river levels to remain high in the coming days.

River Leadon catchment.

River levels are rising at the Wedderburn Bridge River gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected today, 27/10/25. 

We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Leadon. Locations that may be affected include Ledbury, Much Marcle, Staunton and Tibberton. Water may be out of bank at Upleadon Court 

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days.

River Frome in Herefordshire.

River levels are rising at the Bishops Frome river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue today, 27/01/25. 

We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads along the River Frome from Bromyard to Hereford. 

Other locations that may be affected include Bishops Frome and Yarkhill. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point.

River Arrow in Herefordshire.

River levels are forecast to rise at the Titley Mill river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. 

Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible overnight tonight, 27/01/25. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads along the River Arrow from Michaelchurch to Brierley. 

Other areas that may be affected include Kington, Staunton and Eardisland. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point.

Upper Teme.

River levels are rising at the Onibury river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue today, 27/01/25.

We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent the River Teme, River Onny and River Corve and their tributaries. Locations that may be affected include Bishops Castle, Church Stretton, Knighton and Ludlow. 

Predicted peaks:- 

Leintwardine 1.3m to 1.5m Monday afternoon; 

Onibury 2.2m to 2.4m Monday morning; 

Corve 2.9m to 3.0m Monday morning.
