Police were called to Guinness Close in Redditch at around 10pm last night (Wednesday 15 July) following a report of concern for the welfare of a man.
On attendance a man in his 30s was located. He sadly died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. Formal identification has not yet taken place.
A murder investigation has been launched, and a scene guard remains in place today (Thursday) while officers conduct enquiries.
Detective Inspector Ed Slough said: “Last night we were called to an incident where a man has sadly died. His family have been informed and we are supporting them through this traumatic time.”
“We have launched a murder investigation and our enquiries are ongoing. We currently have a scene guard in place. Anyone with any information is asked to call 101.”
