Police in Hereford have issued an appeal following a series of thefts from vans over the weekend.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“The Safer Neighbourhood Team would like to make you aware of a series of thefts from vans over the weekend.
“Although we do not have the exact times these thefts have occurred, we suspect that these thefts happened in the late evening of Friday the 25th of April to the early hours of Saturday the 26th of April.
“Specifically, work vans have been targeted. The following areas have reported theft from vans.”
GARRICK AVENUE.
MAYNE AVENUE.
ORCHARD GARDENS.
ROSS ROAD.
HOARWITHY ROAD.
“We are appealing to nearby residents to please check any CCTV cameras that may have caught any footage.
“Whilst making enquiries, 2 toolboxes have been found on different roads. Attached to this email is a photo of the toolboxes found. If you think one may be yours, please contact the team on the below email address.
“If you have any information that may be able to help in our enquiries, or if you have any footage, please contact the local Safer Neighbourhood Team on the following email address herefordsouthside.snt@westmercia.police.uk
“Please ensure that all vehicles are locked and any valuables taken out of the vehicles. In addition, please consider how your vehicle is parked, if possible we advise to park with any access doors up against a solid barrier I.E a wall to prevent access to the inside. If you see anything suspicious, please report this activity to the Police at the time of the activity.
