If you’re out and about on a walk this evening, you’ll notice that it’s a full moon. However this isn’t just any full moon, this is a full pink super moon.
What is a full pink super moon?
According to Virtual Astro on Twitter, “It’s called a pink moon after plants that grow in North America this time of year, so it won’t look pink.
“It’s closer to us than usual in its orbit making it appear slightly larger and brighter, known as a super moon.”
The April full Moon is set to pass within 358,000km from Earth, appearing around 30% brighter and 14% larger than some previous full Moons.
