Your Herefordshire understands that Special Metals Wiggin Ltd in Hereford could be set to make a number of staff redundant in the coming months.
The company, located on Holmer Road in Hereford, could make up to 75 staff redundant in the coming months, a source told Your Herefordshire.
A number of staff were made redundant earlier this year, with the company making decision to save money.
Your Herefordshire understands that workers at the company are currently pushing for an improved pay offer, with little movement after several months of negotiations.
A member of staff made redundant earlier this year told Your Herefordshire:
“I left my old job to join a new thriving company and after 7 weeks I’ve been told my services are no longer required.
“I have a mortgage and a family to feed.
“I’ve been made redundant along with 19 other new employees. Last in first out apparently.”
