Yeomans Travel and Lugg Valley Travel – School Holiday Bus Services – Summer 2022
Road Closures – July 2022
The following closures will affect bus services as follows:
Services 76/76A, Hereford City Service
St Peters Square in Hereford will be closed on Saturday 23rd July between both 10:15 and 10:45 and 12:45 and 13:30.
Buses will NOT be able to serve the Shirehall bus stop between these times.
Service 76A, Hereford City Service
Stonebow Road, down to The Hospital in Hereford, will be made “one way” for 5 days from 18th July. During this period buses on service 76A, on departing from the Hospital, will divert.
Services 39/39A, Hereford – Peterchurch/Hay, 449, Hereford – Madley, 454, Hereford – Fownhope and 809, Hereford – Fairfield School
Buses will NOT be able to serve Broad Street between these times.
Service 403, Leominster Town Service
Churchill Avenue in Leominster will be closed for 12 days from 11th July. During this period buses on service 403 will not be able to serve Churchill Avenue and will operate direct via Croft Street.
Service 426, Hereford – Bodenham
Service 426 will also be affected by limited closures of St Peters Square on 19th and 23rd July – see separate notices.
Service 453, Hereford – Mordiford
The B4224 will be closed at Mordiford between 09:30 and 15:30 on both Wednesday 13th Julty and Wednesday 20th July.
On these days the 10:40 and 13:40 journeys from Hereford to Sufton Rise will only operate as far as Hampton Bishop.
Service 454, Hereford – Holme Lacy – Fownhope/Woolhope
The B4399 will be closed between Rotherwas and Holme Lacy between 09:30 and 15:30 on both Thursday 14th July and Thursday 21st July.
On these days all journeys on service 454 between 09:30 and 15:30 will operate via Mordiford and Broad St, Putson and Rotherwas will not be served. Buses will serve the Shire Hall bus stops on outward journeys and will double run between Lucksall and Holme Lacy College on the inward journey only. Passengers from Hereford to Holme Lacy should travel via Fownhope.
Service 489, Wigmore – Leominster
Green Lane, between Yarpole and Cock Gate, will be closed for two days on Thursday 28th and Friday 29thJuly. Yarpole will not be served on Friday 29th July.
Service 492, Hereford – Leominster
The B4361 road between Leominster Cemetery and the A49 roundabout at Marlbrook will be closed on the following dates between 09:30 and 15:30:
Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd July 2022
During these times buses on service 492 divert via Southern Avenue and the A49 By-pass.
Services 501,Leominster Hereford, 507, Leominster circular via Weobley
Ivington Road in Leominster will be closed for 5 days from Monday 25th July.
Buses on these services will NOT be able to serve Ivington and Upper Hill during this period.
YEOMANS TRAVEL
School Holiday bus timetables will start on Thursday 21st July.
All Hereford area schools and Colleges will have finished by Wednesday 20th July EXCEPT for Whitecross, Bishops and Fairfield Schools which finish on Thursday 21st July.
On 21st July service 809 will operate as normal.
On 21st July the 15:20 journey on service 437 will operate via Whitecross School.
On 21st July the 07:49 journey from Fownhope on service 453 will operate via Bishops School.
LUGG VALLEY TRAVEL
Service 802 and the 09:18 College day journey on service 492 from Hereford will be suspended from Friday 15th July.
School Holiday bus timetables will start on Friday 22nd July.
All Leominster area schools will have finished by Thursday 21st July EXCEPT for Earl Mortimer College which finishes on Friday 22nd July.
On 22nd July ONLY the 494 will operate to the normal times and route replacing the School Holiday journeys at 07:55 from Shobdon and the 15:45 from Leominster.
Free Weekend Bus Travel
From Saturday 4th September 2021, ALL local bus services operated wholly WITHIN Herefordshire will be FREE for passengers on Saturdays and Sundays under a new Council initiative.
