Wye Valley NHS Trust have issued an important message to people visiting Hereford County Hospital.
Work has started to create a new and improved maternity triage area.
A post shared on social media by the Wye Valley NHS Trust Maternity team said:
“We are excited to announce that building work has started to create our new, improved and expanded maternity triage area.
“This will take approximately four weeks. We apologise for any noise or disruption women and families may experience during this period.
“Work will only take place during the day time -please feel free to ask our staff for ear plugs if you are staying on the maternity ward.
“We understand that this will not be an ideal environment for the next few weeks – please bear with us, and we anticipate once the work is complete the new facilities will enable a better experience for everyone attending triage.”
