A woman was airlifted to hospital after falling an injuring herself in the Llanthony area of Abergavenny, Wales.

From Longtown Mountain Rescue:

“On Sunday we were called to assist a lady out walking who had taken a fall, in the Llanthony Priory Hotel area.

“After an initial assessment by one of our Cas Carers the decision was made to request assistance from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency Helicopter due to her injuries and her location.

“Rescue 187 from St Athan arrived on Scene and transported the lady to hospital for further treatment. We wish all of our casualties a speedy recovery.”
