West Midlands Ambulance Service have this morning provided an update on an incident that occurred on Union Street in Hereford on Friday evening.
The incident saw West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service rush to the scene.
Union Street was closed for a couple of hours to allow the emergency services to respond to the incident at a premises on Union Street.
The Air Ambulance motor vehicle was also sent to the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:
“We were called at 6.42pm on Friday to a medical emergency on at a property on Union Street, Hereford. Two ambulances, a Critical Care Car from Midlands Air Ambulance and two BASICS emergency doctors attended the scene.
“Upon arrival we found a man in a critical condition.
“Ambulance staff administered advanced life support to him but despite their best efforts, nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
West Mercia Police have confirmed that they attended reports of a man suffering a ‘medical episode’ and that there was ‘nothing criminal/suspicious’ about the incident.
