West Mercia Police have provided an update into a fatal house fire that occurred in Herefordshire.
The fire occurred on Thursday 4th July, at Charles Witts Avenue in the Hunderton area of the city.
West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service all attended the incident.
A 33-year-old man sadly died in the fire.
A man was arrested on suspicion of murder following the fire.
West Mercia Police have today provided Your Herefordshire with an update on the incident.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“Following extensive enquiries and postmortem results, there will be no further criminal investigation in relation to this matter and it will be referred to HM Coroner.
“The suspect previously arrested has been released from police bail and no further action will be taken against him in relation to this matter.”
