West Mercia Police have confirmed that a body has been found by officers searching for a missing person.
A sportsperson for West Mercia Police said:
“Sadly, a body has been found during searches of the river in Worcester this afternoon (Thursday 27 February).
“The body has been identified as that of the 24-year-old woman who was reported missing from her home in Diglis on Tuesday (25 February).
“Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
“Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly sad time.”
